The other partner is the company Service Manager, Mr. Fairul Azizi b. Ahmad Fauzi. The company located at Pandan Cahaya in Ampang, Selangor. They have been experience in this sector for almost 10 years before KRC Electronic.
1.2 Specialty of the Company
The company spend almost all of it time working outside by doing servicing, maintenance and training. Actually the main scope of work:
• Repairing, trouble shooting servicing and supply.
• PCB (Print Circuit Board).
• Industrial equipment.
• Lab and medical equipment.
• Military equipment.
• Scientific and technical education equipment.
CHAPTER 2
LITERATURE REVIEW
KRC Electronic is a service company that provided repair, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance and also supplies part and component for customer. Type of equipment that these company work on is scientific and technical equipment for trainer, medical equipment, military equipment and industrial equipment.
2.1 Repair
Repair is fixing any sort of mechanical or electrical device should it become out of order or broken known as repair or unscheduled maintenance as well as performing the routine actions which keep the device in working order known as scheduled or prevent trouble from arising preventive.
Firstly, when receive equipment that broken or damaged for no reason, check all the all of the functionality by download the manual or the catalogue about the equipment. Study about the equipment function before switch it on. Secondly, check whether the equipment fuse in a good condition if it using fuse. If there is any function that is inactive, find the problem.
Other case, if there no power of that equipment checks whether the first component after supply is broken, such voltage regulator, transistor and other that make sense. Test the component to make sure it is in good condition. It is much better if there are manual.
2.2 Service and Maintenance
Predictive Maintenance
Techniques help determine the condition of in-service equipment in order to predict when maintenance should be performed. This approach offers cost savings over routine or time-based preventive maintenance, because tasks are performed only when warranted.
Preventive Maintenance
The care and servicing by personnel for the purpose of maintaining equipment and facilities in satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects.
Maintenance, including tests, measurements, adjustments, and parts replacement, performed specifically to prevent faults from occurring. While preventive maintenance is generally considered to be worthwhile, there are risks such as equipment failure or human error involved when performing PM, just as in any maintenance operation. PM as scheduled overhaul or scheduled replacement provides two of the three proactive failure management policies available to the maintenance engineer.
To make it simple:
• Preventive maintenance is conducted to keep equipment working and/or extend the life of the equipment.
• Corrective maintenance, sometimes called "repair", is conducted to get equipment working again.
The primary goal of maintenance is to avoid or mitigate the consequences of failure of equipment. This may be by preventing the failure before it actually occurs which preventive maintenance and condition based maintenance help to achieve. It is designed to preserve and restore equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail. Preventive maintenance activities include partial or complete overhauls at specified periods, oil changes, lubrication and so on. In addition, workers can record equipment deterioration so they know to replace or repair worn parts before they cause system failure. The ideal preventive maintenance program would prevent all equipment failure before it occurs.
2.3 Type of Equipment
2.3.1 Medical Equipment
2.3.1.1 Warmer Animec(AM-25)
The ANIMEC Animal Fluid Warmer is an electronically-powered dry warmer that supplies heat to the infusion/blood set tubing. The tubing is placed in an S-shaped channel that extends through the heating plate. The temperature sensors in contact with the tubing control the heating and regulate effluent temperature.
